Ebonee on Bandaloop! A Mentor Program Perspective

I thoroughly enjoyed Project Bandaloop! I loved their use of space and the precision involved throughout each performance. I would have liked to seen them use more of the space at one time than they did, just because dancing in one spot for a certain period of time does at times makes the audience lose interest. There were definitely times where I felt right there with them, and often times I forgot they were dancing on the side of the wall. I could definitely tell there was a big trust bond between the dancers. They have to believe that the other person won't let them fall or will do their job technically and as a performer, especially in the duet dances and the dance where the girls were all connected to one costume. The lifts seemed to be more elegant on the side of the wall simply because there was a sense of free space and elongated time while they were in the air; I also loved looking at the shadows of the dancers as they danced outside, to added to the story and was very appealing to the eye.
